Linda J. Fitz, CFP
Director - Wealth Management, Principal

Linda co-founded Kochis Fitz, a predecessor firm to Aspiriant, in 1991 with Tim Kochis, former chairman of the firm. As a wealth manager for over 25 years, she has worked with high net worth attorneys, corporate executives, retirees and wealthy families to help them define, plan for and achieve their financial objectives. She serves on Aspiriant’s Wealth Planning Committee and its Investment Committee’s Fixed Income Committee.

Prior to forming Kochis Fitz, she served in the Executive Financial Counseling unit of Bank of America, and then became a senior member of the Executive Financial Counseling Group of Deloitte & Touche. Linda has been an instructor in the Personal Financial Planning Programs of UC Berkeley and UCLA for more than 17 years.

Linda co-authored the book, Wealth Management, A Concise Guide to Financial Planning and Investment Management for Wealthy Clients. She is a frequent contributor to the media and professional and industry groups and her remarks have been published in Estate Planning Review and the Wall Street Journal. She has been an industry speaker for the Financial Planning Association and for professional meetings on Roth IRAs; Investing To Meet Your Goals; New Investment Products; Managing Debt Opportunistically; and Optimizing Philanthropic Urges.

Linda served for over ten years on the Board of Directors of San Francisco Architectural Heritage, where she has held several positions including President, Treasurer, and Chairman and currently serves on its Investment Committee. Currently, she serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, as well as the Investment, and Major Donor Committees of San Francisco Planning and Urban Research (SPUR).

In 2010, Linda was named one of the Top 50 Women in Business by Wealth Manager Magazine and honored as one of The Most Influential Women in Business by the San Francisco Business Times. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1966 and was awarded the Professional Designation in Personal Financial Planning from UCLA in 1982.
