Lauren joined Aspiriant in 2008 as Director – Investment Research. She has nearly 10 years of experience within the real estate investment industry. In her role, Lauren is responsible for managing real estate investments and research on behalf of Aspiriant’s clients.

Previous to joining Aspiriant, Lauren Pressman was a Senior Vice President at MacFarlane Partners where she was responsible for the firm’s urban investment activities in the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest, including sourcing, negotiating, underwriting and closing prospective investments as well as overseeing development projects during their construction.  During Lauren’s tenure at MacFarlane Partners she successfully placed over $500 million of equity in multi-family for rent, multi-family for sale, mixed-use and commercial projects with a total cumulative value of over $2 billion.

Prior to joining MacFarlane Partners, Lauren was project manager for Hines Interests, one of the world’s largest privately owned commercial real estate firms.  At Hines, Lauren’s responsibilities included the underwriting of acquisition and development opportunities, asset management, leasing, investor reporting, and new business development.  Lauren worked in the San Francisco, New York and London offices of Hines.

Lauren is a board member of the Bay Area Chapter of NAIOP and co-chairs the annual NAIOP Real Estate Challenge between Haas and Stanford MBA students.  Lauren earned a master’s degree in business administration from The Stanford Graduate School of Business where she graduated as an Arjay Miller Scholar.  She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies from Stanford University, where she graduated with distinction and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa society.
